Us?
Ideal Films is an informal association of freelance broadcast TV professionals and digital media artists, lead by me, Keith Phillips, under the aegis of Ideal Films Ltd.
Why, then, a limited company?
I set up Ideal Films Ltd to provide a stable legal framework for our work. Being legally constituted is often essential when applying for public funding. It also gives clients and partners security. And it forms a brand that guarantees quality.
The Team
My specialisms are writing, directing and editing. Other members of the team include camera people, sound, animation, musician, actors and agents, all with broadcast TV and film experience and various awards.
How professional?
I only use people with well-honed craft skills and a commitment to quality. Where possible, I use broadcast professionals.
You may also find recent graduates on our crews working as trainees. Part of our ethos is in the nurturing of young talent through our work with young people, and we are proud to say that many of these people now work in the industry, some for Ideal Films.
